Trees aren't cut down for making these trays. The main material Hanji is made from the branches of one-year-old mulberry trees, which grow back.

 

With the unique texture of Hanji and vivid expression of leaf veins, the tray has a flexible bone structure inside that it can be shaped in your way.

 

Made and coloured by hand, each piece is slightly different from another. Tradition, modernity, sustainability, and craftsmanship are contained in this beautifully hand-crafted tray.

All Hanji trays are varnished with natural shellac or Ottchil which makes them water-resistant and reusable. 

 

KHJ Studio launched in 2013 with a range of lifestyle products focused on the ambient beauty of nature, designed by the studio founder Hyun-Joo Kim. The founder is an industrial and craft designer focused on lifestyle items, furniture, tableware, and public facilities. She uses various materials - stone, marble, wood and Hanji (Korean mulberry paper) - in her works. Having won the prestigious Red-dot Design Concept Award for her innovative furniture design in 2008, in 2009 she determined to establish her own Design Studio in Seoul. Her love and obsession is nature and natural materials, mediated through contemporary life and the timeless Korean ethos. In this spirit in 2015, KHJ Studio launched PLUS NATURE, a new brand and range of works focused on the potential of the ambient beauty of nature in product design.

    All items sent out directly from Chacha Moa are carefully packed and dispatched within 3 business days of purchase, Monday-Friday. As for a made-to-order product, production and the estimated shipping time are stated on the actual product’s descriptions.

    We currently only offer delivery to countries within the European Union. However, if you live outside the EU, you may be able to still order with us. Please contact us at info@diningdedimibang.com to find out the shipping availability. All custom duties and taxes are the responsibility of the customer.

    UK delivery

    We mainly use DPD Local for shipping but may use the Royal Mail with a tracked service depending on the total weight and size of your order. We will email you to confirm the despatch of your order and advise you of the company that we have used for delivery as well as the consignment reference number. If you are not home when the driver attempts to deliver, a card will be left for you to either go to the delivery office to collect your order or to contact the delivery office and arrange for the re-delivery at a date to suit you.

    UK delivery: The Islands and Highlands

    Please note that we do not charge extra for delivery to Northern Ireland, the Scilly Isles, the Channel Islands or the Scottish Highlands, however we do recommend that you allow an extra couple of days for delivery to these destinations.

    EU delivery

    We use DPD Classic delivery service. We will email you to confirm the despatch of your order and the consignment reference number.

    The delivery cost does not include duty and custom charges, you may be required to pay additional domestic sales taxes on receipt of delivery. Additional charges for customs clearance, import duties and taxes are covered by the customer. Customers are advised to contact their local customs office for further information on import regulations.

     

    Packaging

    As we care about the environment and we try not to waste as much as we can, we may reuse/recycle materials such as cardboard boxes, newspapers, air cushions to pack and ship orders placed with Dining de Dimibang. If you would NOT like to receive your order packed in these recycled materials, please let us know and we will avoid using them for your order.

    We do not use these recycled materials for gift orders which are to be shipped directly to another shipping address to the billing address.

     

    Returns

    We hope that you love your purchase but understand that sometimes things just aren't quite right. Our returns policy lasts 14 days. If 14 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

    The below are non-cancellable and non-refundable:

    • Personalised products and products made to order
    • Any product that has been used, returned without original packaging or is returned in an unsaleable condition. Faulty items must be returned in their original packaging.


    To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

    As soon as your returned products have been received by us, we will be notified of the return. We will then contact you by email to let you know that your return has been received and your refund has been processed. Please allow 3-5 working days for the refund to be processed by your payment provider.

    If you would like to know exactly when your return is received by us we would advise sending your returns by a tracked service.

    If your product is damaged, faulty, or you have received an incorrect product, Dining de Dimibang will refund the cost of return shipping if you are asked to return it back to us. Faulty items must be returned in their original packaging.

    If you are returning a product for any other reason (e.g. it is different to expected), we are unable to cover the cost of return.
